- Drupal 7
- Responsive design
GR2 was a small project. The site already had a design and content. My only missions were to upgrade it from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7 and to make it responsive. I also ended up making a few design tweaks and creating a 'contact us' form.
For this project, I built the site on the AdaptiveTheme, a contributed, base theme offered on drupal.org. AdaptiveTheme is great for handling the heavy lifting of making a site responsive, particularly at that time when responsive themes where not so prevelant.
I hand-coded one custom stylesheet to integrate the exisitng look and feel and moved the content manually from the old site. For a site this size, manual was the quickest, easiest solution.
Note: On my last visit (July, 2019) I see that it is no longer a Drupal site but Wordpress. My speculation is that stakeholders, over time, realized that Drupal was a more robust solution than they required for this site.
